Stories to nourish your Thoughts!

Pipeline Parable

Ramu and somu were two thick friends in a village. Both of them earned their livelihood by carrying water in the buckets  from the river to the nearby villages. As months went by somu got bored by this boring  job. he thought there should be a different way to do this.

Somu planned to lay a pipline from the river to the villages. meanwhile ramu was making his money by carrying water in the buckets. it took 5 months for somu to lay the pipeline.
he missed his salary through these months.  Ramu was richer.

After the 5th month,  somu was sitting in the same place and making his money by turning the pipe, where as ramu was still carrying the bucket....

The stori says, you need to create a steady stream of income, irrespective of whether you work or not!

JP Morgan and the Jeweller

Jp morgan met  a jeweller  in a party.  He requested the jeweller to send him a tie-pin.
After a few months, the jeweller found a tie-pin to suit the taste of  JP morgan. it was made of pearl.

he sent the pearl tie-pin to  JP morgan mentioning the price to $500.  JP morgan was not satisfied with the pin.  He bundled the package and attached a $400  saying it is the price he wanted to pay! if the jeweller is not interested, he can retain the package.

The jeweller on receiving the package was enraged seeing the $400 price quoted by JP morgan. he sent the cheque back on reading the note. He opened the package to see there was no tie-pin, but a cheque for $500.
